mysqli::get_charset(): object|null
Procedural
mysqli_get_charset(mysqli $mysql): object|null
Returns a character set object providing several properties of the current active character set.
Parameters
Return Values
The function returns a character set object with the following properties:
charsetCharacter set name
collationCollation name
dirDirectory the character set description was fetched from or "" for built-in character sets
min_lengthMinimum character length in bytes
max_lengthMaximum character length in bytes
numberInternal character set number
stateAs of PHP 8.2.0, it is always
1
